Utensils Required:
Measuring Bowl
Large pot for stove top
Greased baking sheet with edges
Ingredients Required:
1/2 stick of butter
16 oz of small /mini marshmallows
8 cups of Rice Crispies
1 tsp of Vanilla
How to Make it:
1) Put butter in pot on stove top on medium heat
2) Add mini marshmallows to pot and allow to melt slowly, stirring occasionally. This is one of the two tricks to a great batch of RC treats. You want to let them melt slowly while stirring without over melting them. You want the marshmallow goo to remain thick and not burned or thin. When the goo just starts to pop up a bubble or two, it's ready. Stir the 1/2 tsp of vanilla in and put heat on low.
3) Add the rice crispies to the pot - folding and stirring until well mixed.
4) Pour them into the greased sheet and (with washed hands) fold and spread them out evenly in the sheet.
5) Let cool, cut, and serve
BONUS:
Melt a couple cups of milk chocolate chips in the microwave and spread evenly across the top of the rice crispy spread.
